Jealousy
Here is the house of fellow blogger Annaleena. Needless to say I am green with envy. When I daydream and start to imagine how my house would look like if I decided to build my own, the images that come through my mind are almost an exact copy of Annaleena's home. A sleak look, a palette of white, grey, black, light wood. The essence of Scandinavia. I love the white porcelain in the cupboards, the concrete countertop in the kitchen ( I normally hate concrete), the black board, the white floor, the office on the mezzanine... and the kid's room, seriously, can a kid's room be any more stylish? She is actually selling the house at the moment. I am seriously considering moving to Sweden...

Original, poetic, colorful
I came across these fantastic photos on this blog. Here is a house whose style you won't see in every single contemporary magazine! Lili Nalovi and Jesko Willert are a couple of artists who have created a very personal space, full of originality. With its pale colours, amazing works of art, travel memories, the house is unique and the personnality of the owners shines through every single items. The couple studied decorative painting in Florence, a skill which is reflected in the ceiling reliefs they created. They have covered the walls with Japanese rice paper, which they have painted themselves. I am amazed that some people can take such a classic environment and transform it into such a unique and personal space. Fabulous!

Casa Jondal
It's probably because I haven't been on holiday yet (only two weeks to go!) but I keep on coming across these amazing places where I would dream of spending a week, sipping cocktails and enjoying the sunshine and the pool. The Casa Jondal is quite a spectacular house located in Ibiza, Spain, designed by catalan architect Jaime Serra from architect firm « Atlant Del Vent ». This 380 m2 house is a great mix of spanish traditional elements and utterly contemporary ideas. I love the clean, simple lines, the natural light, the view of the pool from the living room, the light wooden floors, the view of the moutains and the roof top terrasses. This could very much be my dream holiday house.

Californian retreat
This house, located in Hollywood, has "lazy holiday" written all over it. It's clean, fresh, filled with vibrant colors. The perfect californian holiday home. I can totally picture myself laying next to the pool with a pina colada and a good design magazine. I imagine cooking some nice summery salads in the kitchen and walking bare-foot on the wooden floors, hiding in the shade for a while when the sun is too high.

Swedish eye candy
Found this little jewel of a flat on Stadshem. The appartment is located in Långedrag, near Göteborg. It is contained in a villa, built in 1905 in a romantic style with classical elements. I instantly fell in love with this place, the patterned oak wooden floor, the different textures of white, the elegant touches of colour, the flee market finds, the wood elements, the geometry and simplicity of the space. I love the touches of dark blue in the bedroom and the fact that the rooms are filled with natural light.
